Ada

Ada was first established as a fur trading post in 1821 by Rix Robinson and was Kent County's first official settlement. The Township encompasses 37 square miles and is home to more than 13,000 residents and 100 businesses. It features more than 1,000 acres of public land, including four community parks and miles of trails.

In 2015, the Village began seeking to expand retail, residential, and restaurant offerings while showcasing the community’s natural resources and creating a more walkable community. For more information on Ada and an update on the progress of the redevelopment of the Village, please click here.
